Ken Werner

is a leading authority in the world electronic display industry. He is especially active with companies evaluating display technologies for new products; entering or repositioning themselves in the industry; or requiring display technology validation or strategic information on display technologies.

Werner consults routinely with senior corporate and technology executives of display-related companies in Asia, Europe, and North and South America, as well as government officials and academic researchers. He regularly addresses technical and trade organizations in North America, Europe, and Asia, and routinely advises attorneys, brokers, analysts, and members of the international press corps on the dynamics and current standings in the display industry.

He is the 2017 recipient of the Society for Information Display's Lewis and Beatrice Winner Award.

Sri Peruvemba

is the CEO at Marketer International, a marketing services company, and CMO at CLEARink Displays. He has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry, and has been an influential advocate in the advancement of electronic display technology. He is an acknowledged expert on electronic displays, touch screens, and related technologies, and consults, writes, and presents on these subjects globally. Peruvemba is frequently quoted in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Forbes, Bloomberg, and the Financial Times, is regularly invited to present at major technology conferences, and often leads seminars and classes on the display industry.

He was previously CMO for E Ink Corporation, and was a key participant in the sale of E Ink to Prime View International. Peruvemba also held senior level positions at Cambrios, Sharp Corp, TFS Inc, Planar Systems, and Suntronic Technology.

Dick McCartney

Dick McCartney

is CEO of Pixel Scientific, a company that provide custom and custom-sized displays to markets including aerospace, industrial, medical, and digital signage. He is a world-renowned expert on display electronics, and a Fellow of the Society for Information Display. From February 2012 to December 2014 he was Director of Technology Creation and Sensing at Samsung.

He held a variety of senior positions at National Semiconductor from 1996-2009, including Chief Technologist for the Display Division. At National, he was responsible for major advances in display driving, including the overshoot method that significantly accelerated LCD response time, and which is used in most LCDs to this day.

Alaide Pellegrini Mammana

Alaide Pellegrini Mammana

coordinates the Brazilian Network on Information Displays (BrDisplay), which has hundreds of participating institutions and companies. She is President of the Brazilian Academy of Military Engineering (ABEMI), an Invited Professor at the Universidade Estadual Paulista, and Counselor and Researcher for the Brazilian Association for Informatics (ABINFO), which she helped create in 1988.

Alaide is Director of the Latin American Chapter of the Society for Information Display (SID) and Professor Emeritus at the Electrical Engineering School at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). From 1985 to 2007 she was the Head of the Information Display R&D Program at the Centro de Tecnologia da Informação Renato Archer (CTI) in Campinas. She created and coordinates the Ibero-American Network on Information Displays, is a Senior Member of SID, and holds the Medalha da Legião do Mérito do Engenheiro Militar.

Werner Malcherek

Werner Malcherek

is CEO of ANNAX Anzeigesysteme GmbH and ANNAX Information Systems GmbH in Germany. In addition to his operational CEO tasks, Werner is responsible for technology and innovation management and the introduction of new processes within the ANNAX Group. The majority of his working career has been spent in companies with a strong technology base in the passenger information system market. He brings 25 years of engineering and applications expertise in R&D project management to the railway market. Werner has been instrumental in the introduction and ruggedizing of emerging technologies such as electronic ink, and new product technologies like ultra-wide LCD displays for on-board train applications.

Bob Raikes

owner of MEKO Ltd, has analyzed the display industry since 1984, with emphasize on the display industry and market in Europe, with emphasis on television, monitors, and public displays. He is the publisher of Display Daily, an influential on-line industry newsletter that is read wherever displays are manufactured or integrated into systems.


Peter Putman

is president of ROAM Consulting, which provides training, marketing communications, and product testing/development services to manufacturers, dealers, and end-users of displays, display interfaces, and related products.

Pete holds an advanced degree in Television and Film, is a Senior Academy Instructor for the International Communications Industries Association (ICIA), and was named ICIA’s Educator of the Year for 2008. He is a member of The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) and the Society for Information Display (SID), and holds industry certifications from ICIA (Certified Technology Specialist) and the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF).
